Is there a minimum stay?
Yes. The minimum stay is two nights.
Is there parking?
Yes. Your booking automatically reserves a locked garage next door to the Perfumery accessible from 10.30am to 5pm. If you require access outside those hours there is unrestricted parking in the street outside the Perfumery (Victoria Street) and further parking in Victoria Square - again, outside the Perfumery - restricted to 4 hours without charge. At busy times, we recommend that you use your garage. For arrival and departure, just park outside the Perfumery by the iron gates, go into the shop and we will assist you.
Is linen provided?
Yes, linen and towels are both included. For further details see our full inventory. Silk Sheets and a towel change service are also available for a small extra charge.
Will there be milk, bread etc.?
Apart from a small welcome pack, food is not provided. The welcome pack includes a pint of semi-skimmed milk, 6 large eggs, 1/2lb of butter, a loaf of bread and a cream tea. The kitchen also includes salt, pepper, tea bags and instant coffee.
If you would like some provisions in your apartment on arrival, Tesco's provide an online home delivery service. Just inform us when you are expecting a delivery and we will put it the apartment ready for you. Please note, Tesco's will not deliver to a commercial address, so don't put "Cotswold Perfumery" as the delivery - put "Flat 1 or Flat 2, Cotswold Perfumery".
Do you allow pets?
Sorry, but no pets allowed.
Do you allow children?
The apartments have one bedroom only and are designed for adults. We therefore don't allow children.
Do you allow smoking?
It is illegal to smoke in the apartments and we impose a £100 charge for smoking anywhere indoors.
Can you sit outside anywhere?
Yes - you can use the Perfume Garden - a secluded garden at the rear of the Perfumery. It is used for Perfumery Courses (some Saturday mornings) and for Factory Tours (11.30am and 2.30pm), but outside those times, and of course all evening, the garden is available.
Are the apartments suitable for the disabled?
Due to the nature of an old building, the apartments are multi-level - particularly Apartment Two which has steps between almost all rooms as well as a mezzanine ladder. If in doubt, please see our Access Statement for further details.
How do you get to the apartments?
The common entrance door is under the archway behind the entrance gates to the Perfumery. Once on the first floor, each apartment has its own entrance.
Is there a telephone?
No. That is, not one that can be used for calls. There is a telephone line but it is for the exclusive use of your Sky+ box so that you can order movies or box office events (that you must pay for - at cost). The mobile signal is acceptable but not brilliant depending upon where you stand.
What about shops in the village? Is there a grocers shop, a Bank or a Tourist Information Centre nearby?
Yes. There is a Spar across the High Street (50 yards), a Co-Op in Station Road (½ a mile), a 24hr Tesco in Stow (4 miles), Lloyds Bank (50 yards), and a Tourist Information Centre next door (5 yards!).
Which is the better apartment?
Difficult question! Some prefer Apartment One, some prefer Two. Although both apartments overlook the river and village centre, Apartment One has a larger bay window and slightly more room in the bedroom. Apartment Two has more character with all the original elm beams and multi-level rooms. Equipment is identical in both apartments. Both are quiet at night. Apartment Two has more steps which may be important if mobility is an issue.

Do the apartments smell of perfume?
A common question! No. They are completely self contained. You experience aromas outside when near the shop or factory, but not in the apartments.
How do I book?
You can either book on this website after viewing the booking calendars for availability - or you can call on +44(0)-1451-820698 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I have to pay the full amount now?
It depends when you book. We ask for a £200 deposit at the time of booking with the remainder paid six weeks prior to arrival. If your stay is within six weeks of arrival we ask for the full amount at the time of booking.
How far ahead can I book? Your calendar only shows 12 months ahead.
Credit card regulations do not allow us to take a booking by credit or debit card more than twelve months in advance. If you pay by cheque, cash or Bank Transfer you can book up to 18months ahead. Talk to us if this is of interest.
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit/debit card, PayPal at email@example.com , by Bank Transfer or by cheque (which must be drawn on a UK Bank). We do not take American Express or Diners Club.
